While growing up in Tennessee, my mother, who studied at Parsons School of Design, and I spent many hours together designing and making clothes, first for me and later for my children.
After moving to Richmond, VA and my three sons were school age, I began to explore different art forms; paper-maiche, ceramics, and designing lamp shades while gathering inspiration from my travels. Fifteen years ago, I had the opportunity to take art classes from an extremely creative artist where I learned to work with oils, acrylics, pastels, and other mediums. Early in my career, I focused on creating pieces with vivid colors. However, at this time I tend to lean towards a palette that evokes calm and tranquility. My aim is to create special pieces that make an individual statement for the home.
On my website, you will find several of my latest paintings. Select pieces are available in Richmond at Fraiche (5805) Grove Avenue) and Shore Dog Café (435 Ridge Road). I also paint commission pieces. If you are interested in my work, feel free to email, call or text me.
